Hospitalization Services for Your Pet’s Special Needs

Sunset Animal Clinic is not an emergency hospital, but when pets in non-critical conditions need more intense treatment than what can be done during an appointment or at home, we will keep your pet in our facility for the day.

Examples of pets needing a day’s hospitalization include:

• Those recovering from surgical procedures
• Pets in need of a day’s worth of fluid therapy due to dehydration from severe bouts of vomiting or diarrhea, kidney disease, or those suffering from heat exhaustion
• Diabetic animals needing a glucose curve
• Pets needing extended observation for other medical reasons

We will keep your pet as comfortable and as calm as possible, and we will keep his or her body and fur clean. We will provide food and water (if allowed), soft, warm blankets, and plenty of TLC. We will periodically monitor your pet’s vital signs, and we will call you with any questions or concerns. We’ll let you know as soon as your pet is ready to head home.
